About Mrs. Emily Kirby
Emily's interest for piano first sparked when she was only two years old. At age five she began asking to take piano lessons. After much pleading, Emily began piano lessons at age seven. Emily learned quickly and her interest grew as she longed to learn more.
At age nine Emily attended a recital presented by Power's Music School in Belmont, MA. After listening to the performances at the recital, she realized there was still much to be desired. Her parents graciously laid the stepping stones for Emily's God-given talent as she became a student at Powers Music School. From age twelve to seventeen, she participated in classes as well as music camps and recitals which enhanced her skills for music and piano greatly.
"Emily could have chosen many paths, but she chose to use music for the Lord and not secular pleasure. We are so proud of Emily's desire to serve the Lord, never seeking the lime light. "

Laying the Stepping Stones
After High School, Emily Kirby went to Golden State Baptist Bible College. There, she was under the instruction of Dr. Mike Zachary, Chairman of the Music Department. Under his teaching, Emily extended her over-growing talent to be used as an incredible pianist for the Lord. In 2007, Emily graduated from college with her Degree in Music Education from Golden State Baptist College.
Today, Emily Kirby serves in full time ministry at Regency Baptist Church. There, her and her husband Mark Kirby are actively involved in many areas of the church and school. In addition, Emily uses her beautiful piano talents to serve the Lord as our church Pianist.
Emily Kirby holds a deep appreciation for her parent's, Robert and Sharon Baxter. Their love and support throughout her childhood years and into adulthood have not only enabled her to fully develop the talent that God has given her musically, but provided her with a loving foundation which has made her a beautiful young woman inside and out. Emily's appreciation for their lifelong sacrifice and support is made evident in the tears of joy that are seen when speaking about her Mom and Dad.
